Touch

Touch at Kaikorai first commenced in the early 1980s with matches being played at Bishopscourt on Thursday evenings. The touch season coincided with daylight savings and in those early days being able to get into a touch team was rather difficult as it was a fast growing sport.

The game of touch attracted players from all walks of life as it catered not only for the Premier player (both male and female), but also for, Mixed grades, Social - Male and Female and Golden oldies.

In total Kaik Touch offered a choice of being able to play in 8 grades with 64 teams getting through their games each Thursday evening.

The touch committee became affiliated to Otago Touch which enabled all players of the game an opportunity of being able to be picked for representative sides.

2011 - 12 Season

The season starts Thursday 6th October and registrations are currently being received.
